1. Set holiday hours on Google
In your Google Business Profile, add special hours for each day you open late, close early or close completely (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and Day). Google shows these right in Search and Maps, and it beats customers driving over to a locked door.
2. Match the hours on your website
Put the same holiday hours on your site, near the top of the home page. If Google and your website disagree, people don't know which to trust.
3. Make one clear holiday offer
One offer, said plainly, with a date it ends: a gift card, a seasonal menu item, a bundle. Put it on your site, your Google listing (as an update or offer post), a counter sign and a social post, all with the same wording.
4. Test your phone and booking links on a phone
Tap your phone number on your site. Does it dial? Tap "Book" or "Order". Does it open the right page? Do the same from your Google listing. Broken links are easy to miss because owners rarely visit their own site from a phone.
5. Check that gift cards are easy to buy
If you sell gift cards online, link to them from your home page and your Google listing. If you only sell them in store, say so.
6. Ask for reviews the honest way
A short note or a QR card at the register, asking every customer, not just the happy ones. Don't offer discounts or gifts for reviews; Google's rules don't allow it.
7. Plan January now
Write down when you'll switch the holiday hours and offer back off. Old holiday banners in February tell customers nobody's minding the site.
