Makeover rules

  1. No purchase needed. It costs nothing to nominate, be nominated or win. Buying anything doesn't improve your chances.
  2. Dates. Nominations open Nov 2, 2026 and close Nov 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific. I'll announce the winner on Nov 18, 2026.
  3. Who can be nominated. Any independent small business with a location in Boulder City, Henderson or Las Vegas, Nevada. Chains and franchises aren't eligible. Owners can nominate their own shop. Shops I already work with for pay aren't eligible.
  4. Who can nominate. Anyone 18 or older. One nomination per person per shop. Several people nominating the same shop is welcome, but it isn't a vote count.
  5. How the winner is picked. I pick one winner myself. I look at what nominators wrote and at where a month of help would make the most difference. It isn't a random drawing.
  6. The owner has to say yes. I contact each nominated owner. A shop can only win if the owner agrees in writing. If the winner declines or I can't reach them by Nov 23, I may pick another shop.
  7. The prize. One month of work, starting after the owner agrees:
    • Google Business Profile tune-up (hours, photos, categories, menu and description)
    • Holiday promo pack (digital graphics and wording)
    • 4-page digital mini-magazine about the shop's story (digital file only; printing isn't included)

    The prize has no cash value and can't be traded for cash or other services. The owner keeps everything I make for them.

  8. Runners-up. Every other nominated shop whose owner wants one gets a short sample of what I'd suggest for them. They don't have to buy anything.
  9. No guarantees. I can't promise more customers, rankings, reviews or sales, and nobody honestly can.
  10. Reviews. Winning or entering is never tied to leaving a review, for me or anyone else. I won't ask the winner for a review in exchange.
  11. Publicity. With the owner's written OK, I may share the winner's before-and-after on iservedyou.com and in a local story video. Nominators' names stay private unless they say otherwise.
  12. Privacy. I only use nomination details to run this makeover and to contact nominated shops. I don't sell or share them.
  13. I can change or cancel this makeover if something outside my control gets in the way. If I do, I'll post a notice on the page.
